General Questions
Can we meet for a consultation?
Absolutely, I'd be happy to meet you and discuss your wedding. As well as event timings and other arrangements, I'd be delighted to go through a list of those all-important essential shots and to discuss the day as it will unfold.
Which areas do you cover?
My photography and videography packages generally service the North East and Cumbria but I'm more than happy to travel further afield and I regular cover areas such as York, Leeds, Chester, Scotland and Barnsley so distance really is no problem, even if your wedding is abroad!
How far in advance can we book?
I'm happy to take bookings for anytime in the future and it's not uncommon for my clients to book 2+ years in the future. Feel free to let me know your date and I can check availability and schedule an appointment.
Will we get terms & conditions?
Official Terms and Conditions protect both the client and company and you'll receive these before booking. If you're happy with them (they're perfectly reasonable!), we can proceed and look forward to planning your perfect day!
How can we pay?
My services are paid for via online payment (BACS) which is my preferred method. In exceptional cases I can also accept cash on the day of your function. All I ask is that a small 20% booking fee is paid in advance to secure your date and demonstrate good faith. This fee is included in your quote; there's nothing extra to add and I'll always supply you with a full receipt and invoice.
Do we receive a contract?
Yes and you'll also receive a copy of my Terms & Conditions before you book. I feel that it's essential that you know exactly what you're booking so that you're delighted with the package you receive.
Service Questions
When will we get our media?
A major concern for prospective clients but you don't need to worry! I aim to get some proofs delivered to you within a week and your final product within a month but often sooner. A comprehensive estimate of timings will be included when you book.
What format will our videos be in?
I shoot in 4k/UHD for top-quality results. Media is optimised for playback on a computer, DVD/Blu Ray, or any other format you have in mind. We'll discuss these options when you book me.
Colour or black & white Photos?
I love Black & White, and you'll receive a good selection of both Black & White and Colour photos in your portfolio.
How many photos will we get?
Delivered shots vary but you can expect to get several hundred images at a minimum. I strongly believe in quality, not quantity, and every shot you receive will be professionally edited.
Can we ask for certain shots?
Absolutely, I want to create art that's perfect for every customer and we all have different tastes and needs. We'll discuss your exact needs at a consultation.
Can guests see our photos?
My superb Selfie Wizard or Projection Service allows me to upload a sample of the best shots taken so that your friends and family can see them on a big screen on the day of your wedding!
Privacy Questions
What data do you hold?
I keep a record of you name, address, phone number, email address and event details in accordance with GDPR Policy . I don't pass it on to any 3rd parties and it's all securely stored on my servers and business email.
How is this data used?
I use this data to confirm and handle your enquiry, booking and media delivery. I can also use it to send you special offers, send examples of your media, and to get post-event feedback. If you'd prefer I remove all data after the completion of a booking, just ask.
What about out photos and videos?
From time-to-time I may use your photos and video on my website or for other promotional use.
I also keep a backup of photos/videos taken. This enables you to receive a copy of your photos/video in the future if the worst happens and you somehow lose them! If you'd prefer I didn't do this then again, you only have to ask.
I'll also upload images to my Facebook and other social media pages to enable your friends and family to see them and to be tagged in them. This is incredibly popular but you're welcome to ask that I don't do this before booking.
